Thank you for visiting my gift shop.
I found the inspiration for Moonstone Apothecary at Moonstone Beach, in Humboldt County, California. My puppy—Walter—and I were on his first camping adventure, celebrating my having survived 32 years on this earth. Contemplating as one does in nature, I set my mind on building a future around what makes me happy. I am happiest when creating memories with family and friends, or cozying up on the couch with the fur babies and a good book. I’ll light a candle because I find magic in how scents can stimulate emotional healing and attach themselves to core memories.
Handcrafting candles and gifts is a meaningful way I share with others the joy I’ve found exploring California. I wish to experience with you the beauty, art, and magic that surrounds us.
Taking a Leap of Faith.
Turning a dream into reality can be daunting, and even seem impossible at times. This experience is teaching me how to give up those limiting beliefs and instead trust that the universe will provide, my ancestors will guide, and with faith my spirit will thrive. This is the most excellent of adventures, and I am thrilled that you are joining me!
Honoring Our Loved Ones.
My grandmothers give me the strength and courage to make this business possible. My Abuelita has shown me how to become a fearless, independent woman and taught me the importance of honoring our ancestors. Candles are a way she connects to those we have loved and lost. My grandma Joanne, who passed in 2020, started a candle business of her own in the '70s, and this is one way in which I carry on her legacy and keep her close to me.

Quality, sustainability, and community are the core values that guide me when creating gifts for you and the people you care about. My goal is to make good-for-you products using the highest quality ingredients and containers which can be reused, repurposed, and upcycled. Two percent of sales are donated to Weaving Wellness and Diversity Management, a nonprofit committed to fostering youth social and emotional skill development, uplifting Native American voices, and empowering Northern California communities by celebrating diversity.
